Interventionist - Early Intervention Programme

Classroom Interventionists oversee the education and training of students with physical, emotional, mental, and learning disabilities.
They assist in designing the programme and deliver lessons geared towards the individual needs and capabilities of the students under their supervision.

The Role:

  • Set learning goals for each student, assess their progress, and record their evaluations.
  • Set up materials and equipment to help the lead interventionist prepare lessons
  • Collaborate with other classroom teachers, therapists to provide an integrated plan for developing the capacities of their students.
  • Help plan for the transition of their students to productive lives after the completion of their time at the First Connections Programme.
  • Supervise children and enforce school policies
  • Assist students with daily tasks

Minimum Requirements:

  • Degree in Psychology or related field.

  • Proficient in oral and written English communication skills, interpersonal skills and computer proficiency, including the ability to use Microsoft Office programmes

  • Willing to be proactive in implementing curriculum

  • Bright, friendly, and energetic

  • Dedicated to developing children

  • Capacity to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
